Renowned directors and producers, including Ekta Kapoor, Nitesh Tiwari, Aanand L Rai, Sajid Nadiadwala, Dinesh Vijan, and Mahaveer Jain, have gathered for the #IndiaLetsMakeAFilm initiative to encourage people to make inspiring one-minute movies on their mobile phones in the midst of the COVID-19 lockdown.
The project calls for people around the country to post one-minute mobile video entries. Those who participate must make a film on these topics – ‘The good side of quarantine’, ‘hum honge kamyaab’, ‘innovative lockdown tales’, ‘let’s follow the safety norms’, ‘help, care and concern in lockdown’ and ‘thank you our frontline heroes’.
Sharing the initiative details, filmmaker Karan Johar praised members of the industry. Karan tweeted, “Glad to present this amazing initiative by my friends #IndiaLetsMakeAFilm Make 1 minute inspiring film on ur mobile while staying home #ChangeWithin. What’s amazing is that these films made at home will encourage the spirit of India.”
Before April 21, the entries must be in and the winning films will be unveiled on social media platforms. The initiative is promoted by Change within initiative, along with Mukesh Chhabra, Montoo Bassi, and Maulik Bhagat.
The initiative is really unique it will urge people to churn out all their creative juices and will help them pass their time and keep the lockdown boredom away.
The topics selected by the initiative are really good, it will give away a positive message in the society in the midst of the panic because of the global pandemic.
Bollywood industry has come to a standstill because of the on-going nationwide lockdown and the filmmakers will still be able to keep in touch with their true passion because of the noble initiative.
