An important initiative by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Ji (founder of Art of living foundation), Rajkumar Hirani & Mahaveer Jain. This initiative was conceived right after the Janta Curfew was announced with the idea to provide ‘Ration Kits’ and cooked meals to the needy families during the lockdown. It immediately got the support of IAHV & #ChangeWithin and a number of credible personalities like
Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Kapil Sharma, Karan Johar, Kriti Sanon, Bhumi Pednekar, Janhavi Kapoor, Siddharth Malhotra, Kiara Advani, Varun Dhawan, Kartik Aaryan, Ishaan Kapoor, Ayushmann Khurana, Taapsee Pannu, Shahid Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Rajkumar Rao, Rakul Preet, Ekta Kapoor, Sajid Nadiadwala, Rohit Shetty, Dinesh Vijan, Nitesh Tiwari, Ashwini Iyer Tiwari, Amar Kaushik, A R Murgodass, Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, Raaj Shandalia, Mangesh Hadawale, Jackie shroff and many more supported the initiative” from film & tv fraternity.
Informed the Author Pankaj Dubey who is associated with ‘ i Stand With Humanity’. He further said that ‘this idea could never be realized without the incredible support of ‘The Art of Living Foundation’ and ‘IAHV’ as they have been doing the execution work with the help of local authorities like BMC and Mumbai Police in case of Mumbai and similar bodies in other parts of the country. It also got the support of organizations like – JITO, Avanee foundation, Nakoda trust, LIC, Radiant group and some more.
Confirming the statistics of the distribution of Ration Kits, Darshak Hathi, President, International Association of Human Values (IAHV) said that “almost 15,000 of our well trained and devoted volunteers are taking all possible precaution of the ‘Social Distancing Protocols’ during our mission to combat the pandemic”.
‘i Stand With Humanity’ initiative has acquired the status of a People’s Movement and is a wonderful case study of the reciprocation of love, care and empathy by Bollywood & south film industry too to the people in need.
