Filmmaker Ekta Kapoor announced a fresh new project titled KTina back in 2019. Baaghi actress Disha Patani was said to headline the film. However, due to some lined-up projects, lockdown, and some reasons best known to the makers, KTina was put on the back burner. After Ek Villain Returns Ekta Kapoor picked her shelved project KTina.
Ekta Kapoor has returned to her next production project and brought it back to the cards. The latest report about KTina updates that the said lead Disha Patani has been replaced by a new cast. New information suggests that Kapoor is considering Nushrratt Bharuccha and Ananya Panday for the lead role.
With the new changes in the cast, Disha Patani will not be seen in KTina. When the movie was announced Disha was busy shooting Malang and was also on a signing spree. She was prepping for it and even took Punjabi speaking lessons as the character of the lead seems to be a Punjabi girl.
The male cast is still unknown but Nushrratt Bharuccha and Ananya Panday may front Ekta Kapoor’s KTina. The filmmaker has worked with Nushrratt in Dream girl released in 2019. Ananya Panday will star in the sequel of the comedy-drama. Dream Girl 2 is written by Raaj Shaandilyaa, and directed by Ashima Chibber.
On the work front, Nushrratt Bharuccha has a great slate of upcoming projects. She will be seen alongside Akshay Kumar and Jacqueline Fernandez, in Ram Setu which is set to release on October 24th. She also has Chhorii 2, a sequel of her 2021 film. She will again team up with Akshay Kumar for Selfiee.
On the other hand, Ananya Panday has Kho Gaye Hum Kahan with Gehraiyaan co-star Siddhant Chaturvedi. She will also be seen alongside Ayushmann Khurrana in Dream Girl 2. Her last film Liger with Vijay Deverakonda was a massive flop at the box office.
