But what if I say Karan Johar is superstitious? Yes, Karan Johar himself accepted this in an interview with Lehren Retro.

During the making of ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’, he made it clear that he is superstitious. If you are aware audience you must have noticed that many films by Karan Johar, known as Bollywood’s beloved KJo, start with the alphabet ‘K’ or either have a word that starts from the alphabet ‘K’. ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’, ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’, ‘Kalank’, ‘Kapoor & Sons’, ‘My Name Is Khan’, etc have K in its name. In that interview, he was asked by the interviewee, “Do you keep the ‘K’ factor, is there any reason?”

Replying to that question, he said, “My Zodiac sign is Gemini, so the letter ‘K’ is very lucky for me. Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Kuch Kuvh Hota Hai both these films are from K and it might happen that all the upcoming future films of Dharma Production start with K. But that is because I am superstitious. I admit that I am very superstitious.” He himself made a big statement about his quality. Ahead he added, “When someone tells you that K is lucky for you then it’s become difficult to fight that.”

When he made this statement, KKHH was released and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham was under production. All other films mentioned above were not made till that time. So it’s true that Karan keeps a K factor in everything. Even the most popular spicy show of recent times, ‘Koffee With Karan’, starts with ‘K’ and not ‘C’.

Later talking about the film, he said that there was no such target audience for this film. He made this film for Indian people all over the world. This film was a hit and indeed loved by Indian audiences. The glamour, richness, Indian values, music, and actors, everything made the entire film a great piece of entertainment.
