Did You Know? Sara Ali Khan Auditioned For Tripti Dimri’s Role In Animal, But Got ‘Rejected’

Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan auditioned for the role of Zoya played by Tripti Dimri in Animal, however the actress was rejected by Sandeep Reddy Vanga.

Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film Animal came out as a major blockbuster of 2023. The film also brought fame to many actors in the cast, including Tripti Dimri who recently grabbed the headlines for her “intimate scenes” with Ranbir Kapoor in the film. However, did you know before Tripti Dimri, Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan had auditioned for the role of Zoya?

Sara Ali Khan Auditioned For Animal

Yes, you read that right, according to an old report by Filmfare revealed that Gaslight actress Sara Ali Khan has previously auditioned for the role of Zoya played by Tripti Dimri in Animal. Although Sandeep had finalized Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead of the film, a role for the second female lead character, Zoya was still open.

Following the same, Sara Ali Khan had reportedly auditioned for the role. However, Sandeep Reddy Vanga felt that Sara Ali Khan didn’t fit and suited the role of Zoya’s bold character. However, Tripti Dimri’s audition for the role was appreciated by many, and at last she was selected for the role of Zoya aka Bhabhi 2 in the film, Animal.

Actors Who Rejected Animal

While Sara auditioned for Zoya’s role, many celebs like Parineeti Chopra, Ranveer Singh, and Mahesh Babu were offered the role of the female and male leads in the film, however, they were rejected. Initially, Parineeti Chopra was the first choice was Rashmika Mandanna’s role however she rejected the offer since she already had a project with Imtiaz Ali.

On the other hand, Ranveer Singh and South actor Mahesh Babu were offered the role played by Ranbir Kapoor in the film, however, both the actors rejected the role citing the same reason, stating that the role and the genre of the film were too dark for them.
