The two much-anticipated and highly-awaited Bollywood films Animal and Sam Bahadur were released in theatres on 1st December. The two blockbusters have been doing exceptionally well at the box office. However, did you know, that before Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal, the first choice for the lead actor in these two films was none other than the Bollywood actor “Ranveer Singh”.
Yes, you read it right, before Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal, Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh was the first choice for the films, “Animal” and “Sam Bahadur”. However, Ranveer Singh rejected taking up the offers of both films.
Why Ranveer Singh Rejected “Animal”?
As per Zoom, Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh was initially offered “Animal”, however, the actor rejected the offer since the theme of the film was “too dark” and violent. Due to the same reason, Ranveer had previously dropped the film, “Kabir Singh”.
Why Ranveer Singh Rejected “Sam Bahadur”?
On the other hand, Ranveer Singh opted to reject Vicky Kaushal starrer Sam Bahadur since he was already gearing up for his film, Kapil Dev in 83 during that time. And since he didn’t want to do another biopic, he rejected the film. Apart from him Deepika also rejected the film, she was initially offered the role of Siloo Manekshaw, however, she had other projects so she also rejected the film.

On the work front, Ranveer Singh was last seen in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, he is now gearing up for Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3. He also has Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again starring Ajay Devn, Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor, and others.
