CID fame Dinesh Phadnis popularly known for his role Fredericks passed away on 5th December, 2023. After staying on ventilator support for days, the actor succumbed to death due to a liver issue. Dinesh Phadnis was admitted to the Tunga Hospital in Mumbai and as per the reports the actor passed away at approximately 12 AM.
Following Dinesh Phadnis’s unfortunate death, many cast members of the series CID were present at the crematorium to pay their last respects. Shivaji Satam aka ACP Pradyuman, Aditya Srivastava aka Inspector Abhijeet, Tanya Abrol, and Ansha Sayed among other cast members were present at Daulat Nagar crematorium in Borivali for the actor’s cremation.
Meanwhile, many other cast members of CID took to their social media and paid tribute to Dinesh Phadnis. Shraddha Musle, who played the role of Dr Tarika, took to Instagram and wrote, “We will miss you Freddy Sir. #cid #cidcop #sweetestsoul #dineshphadnis #RIP (sic).”
Shivaji Satam wrote, “DineshPhadnis , simple , humble , lovable”.
Actor Vivek Mashru wrote, “Miss You Freddy Sir RIP”.
Actress Tanya Abrol also shared pictures with Dinesh Phadnis and wrote, “Dearest Dinesh sir or how we all called him Freddy sir with love and affection. A person who made so many people laugh, be it onscreen or in real life, and now that you are gone .. even then we are smiling and laughing thinking about all the stories and incidents but with teary eyes. A roller coaster of emotions. May your journey ahead be peaceful. You will be missed tremendously, not just by us and your family but also by millions of your fans. You taught me the word “ Baida “ which means eggs. I loved the name you gave me .. Shambhu Shikari. And the occasional photo shoots by @shivaaji_satam sir. For the unversed, Dinesh Phadnis rose to fame after he appeared in the television crime series, CID. His character Fredericks was loved by the audience and was appreciated by many. Apart from CID, Dinesh has also appeared in the popular show, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. Apart from this he also played supporting roles in movies like Super 30 and Sarfarosh.
