The Animal movie featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Bobby Deol is creating a buzz on the internet after the trailer release, with audiences raving about its intense fight scenes. Ranbir’s portrayal seems relentless, evoking a sense of suspense among viewers. However, upon closer inspection of the trailer, there appears to be some subtle connections to Hitler, although not directly linked but potentially inspired by his ideologies.
Two instances in the trailer hint at a possible Nazi connection. The first is when Ranbir Kapoor delivers a speech to his entourage, raising his right hand with a closed fist in the air, stating, ‘Jisne Bhi Papa Pe Goli Chaliye Balbir Singh Pe Goli Chaliye Mein Wada Karta Hon I Will Slit His Throat.’ This action resembles the Nazi salute, which Hitler used himself. However, the traditional Nazi salute involved extending the right arm straight with the hand held flat in the air.
The second instance hints at the Nazi logo, the swastika, faintly visible in the background as the crowd cheers at the end of Ranbir’s speech. Notably, the director tactfully avoids using the direct Nazi swastika and opts for the Indian swastika instead. The key difference lies in the presentation, with the Nazi swastika featuring arms at a 45-degree slant, while the Indian swastika is depicted with the base arm lying flat.
These subtle references in the movie suggest a connection with Nazi ideology or inspiration drawn from it. Even the characterization of Ranbir Kapoor’s role might be influenced by Nazi ideologies.
For context, the Nazi party, which Hitler later joined, embraced nationalist, racist, and antisemitic beliefs. Following Hitler’s involvement, he further propagated and expanded upon these ideas.
Hitler himself espoused a racist worldview, classifying people into a hierarchy of races, where some were deemed superior and others inferior. He propagated the belief in the superiority of the German race, referred to as the ‘Aryan’ race.
