Brahmastra: Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor starrer Brahmastra has whopped impressive figures at the box office on its opening weekend. Despite receiving mixed reviews from the audience, Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra showed impressive growth during its opening weekend as the film has now crossed the 100cr mark to become one of the highest-grossing films of the year.
Brahmastra Weekend Box Office Collection
Ayan Mukerji’s film Brahmastra was undoubtedly one of the most hyped and much-anticipated films of the year. With almost 10 years spent in the making, the film has now finally been released in the theatres. The film opened up to mixed reviews from the audience however, it has successfully managed to gross more than 100cr with its worldwide box office collection in 3 days.
As per a Hindustan Times report, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer Brahamstra now stand on a total collection of around 110cr within the Hindi belt. The film managed to earn a total of around ₹41-42 crore on Sunday itself, while it managed to mint a total of Rs 37 crore on its first Saturday. Apparently, the film has now surpassed the opening weekend collections of Kartik Aaryan starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 which made a total of 56 Cr on its opening weekend.
Brahmastra Day 1 Collection
Despite ongoing Boycott trends, Ayan Mukerji’s film Brahamstra opened with a remarkable collection of ₹31 crores (Hindi version). Brahmastra grossed about ₹4.5 crores in other languages in India on its first day. Its all-India day one total stands at ₹35.75 crores, becoming the highest opening day in history on a non-holiday for an original Hindi film.
Ayan Mukerji Pens Down A Gratitude Note
Thanking the audience for the success of the film, Brahamstra writer and director, Ayan Mukerji penned down a short note on his Instagram and wrote, “Gratitude, excitement, hope! A big thank you to everyone, everywhere who has gone to the cinemas to experience Brahmastra, keeping our movie-going culture vibrant and dynamic. Looking forward to the next few days.”
Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva is a fantasy adventure film written and directed by Ayan Mukerji, and produced by Karan Johar. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the lead, it also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna, in key roles, while actors Shah Rukh and Deepika Padukone will be seen in a cameo in the film. The first installment of Brahmastra was released on September 9 and is now running at the theatres.
