Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan starring latest film Brahmastra whopped impressive figures at the box office on the second day. Despite the boycott, Brahmastra had an excellent growth of 15% on Saturday, according to Box Office India. The second-day collections of Brahmastra are around 35.50 crores in the Hindi version. The total collection of Brahmastra (Hindi Version) is now 66.50 crores.
However, the movie opened with a remarkable collection of ₹31 crores (Hindi version). Brahmastra grossed about ₹4.5 crores in other languages in India on its first day. Its all-India day one total stands at ₹35.75 crores, becoming the highest opening day in history on a non-holiday for an original Hindi film, as per Box Office India.
Brahmastra Part 1: Shiva is also grossing well at the International box office. Ayan Mukerji’s helmed film has recorded historic figures overseas thanks to its huge business in US / Canada. The film crossed the $3 million mark overseas on day one. The film could be heading for a $9-10 million weekend, as per Box Office India. The film has continued its extraordinary run in overseas theatres having huge worldwide gross numbers in just two days.
While fans have gone crazy watching the film in theatres, Brahmastra Part 1: Shiva actress Alia Bhatt took to her Instagram story to celebrate the impressive response. The actress shared a slew of video clips that featured viewers hooting and cheering as they watched the movie in theatres. The first clip shared on Bhatt’s Instagram was a video posted on a fan page from a Brahmastra screening at Sudarshan Theatre in Hyderabad.
In the video, excited fans can be heard shouting and yelling as Allari Motha, the Telugu version of Dance Ka Bhoot, played on the screen. In the same video, fans threw confetti at the screen, similar to how confetti flies upon Ranbir’s entry in the song. Alia kept the caption simple with a fire emoji.
The latest film Brahmastra is the first film of a trilogy directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Dharma Productions. Brahmastra part 1 has a star cast including Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna Akkineni. Shah Rukh Khan also makes an interesting cameo in the film. The movie was released in theatres on 9 September in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada languages.
