The film not only earned record money for any Hindi film but also received favorable reviews from critics and this critical acclaim is not just limited to India. Critics also praised the action thriller abroad, with the main actor and his screen presence receiving particular praise.

Sometimes it works, and sometimes the script just sucks. It might even be too cliched to be put together in a more meaningful way, but the film is entertaining and gets you hooked with the infectious melody at the end.
