Brahmastra Part 1: Shiva was a blockbuster in 2022. The film directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Dharma Productions introduces the audience to the fantasy world of Astraverse. The first part was in the making for 7 years and after numerous delays, it was finally released in September 2022. It features Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy in pivotal roles. The ending of part 1 made the audience wanting for more. The fans are now eagerly waiting for Brahmastra Part 2: Dev. Meanwhile, director Ayan Mukerji has put a rest to speculations about the release date. This morning, he took to his social media and announced the release dates of Brahmastra 2 and Brahmastra 3.
In a big announcement, Ayan revealed that both the parts will be shot together and therefore, he will manage to release both parts around the same time. However, sadly, the audience will have to wait for Brahmastra till 2026.
Brahmastra 2 and Brahmastra 3 release dates:
Ayan revealed that Brahmastra 2 will be released in December 2026. He has planned to release Brahmastra 3 a year after that. Brahmastra part 3 will hit the screens in December 2027.
Sharing this, Ayan penned a long note that reads, “The Time has come – for some updates on the Brahmastra Trilogy, the Astraverse, and my Life! After absorbing all the love and the feedback on Part One… I have been focused on creating the Vision for Part Two and Part Three – which I now know will be bigger and more ambitious than Part One! have learnt that we need a little more time to perfect the script of Brahmastra Two and Three!”
He further wrote, “And…have decided that we are going to make the two films… Together! Allowing them to also release closer together! I have a timeline in place to achieve this, which I am sharing with you all today!”
“The Universe has presented me with a very special opportunity recently – a very special movie – to step into and direct! What the movie is… More on that when the time is right. An opportunity that challenges me and terribly excites me… one where I will learn, be inspired and where I will grow! So, I have decided to take it up!! Opening myself up to all the positive energies in this universe so I can do my best and contribute to that one thing that matters most to me – Indian Cinema!” he added.
