Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap and actress Payal Ghosh have been hitting the headlines recently for controversial reasons. A couple of days back, Payal Ghosh accused Anurag Kashyap of sexual assault allegations. She claimed that Kashyap forced himself upon her. After making the claims, Ghosh registered a complaint with the Mumbai Police. Following the same, Kashyap was reportedly interrogated for eight hours. As per the reports, Anurag Kashyap has denied all the sexual assault allegations levelled at him by Payal Ghosh.
According to the reports by CNN News 18, Anurag Kashyap reportedly told the Police that he never met Payal Ghosh at his residence in Versova. The filmmakers placed emphasis that he only knew Payal in professional capacity. Thus, Anurag Kashyap denied all the assault allegations levelled by the actress.
Furthermore, the filmmaker was also asked about the messages passed by Payal to the Mumbai Police. For the unkown, Payal Ghosh alleged that Anurag Kashyap forced himself upon her. Following her allegations, National Commission for Women chief asked her to file a written complaint.
Apparently, the minister supported Ghosh and demanded justice for her. Payal even met the governor of Maharashtra and asked for Y-level security pertaining to the threat to her life.
As soon as Payal Ghosh accused Anurag Kashyap of sexual misconduct, he took to his social media platforms to refute the same. The director called all the allegations ‘baseless and malicious’.
Following Kashyap’s social media statement, many celebs in Bollywood industry came out in support of him.
Apart from the allegations on Anurag Kashyap, actress Payal Ghosh also allegedly accused Richa Chadha, Mahie Gill, and a few more actresses being a call away from the filmmaker for all these activities.
Actress Richa Chadha even issued a legal notice against Payal Ghosh for dragging her name into the controversy.
