The much-awaited movie starring Ameesha Patel is all set to hit the silver screen soon. To promote their film, the actors are leaving no stone unturned. Recently, Ameesha and her co-star Sunny Deol were seen on the sets of The Kapil Sharma Show.
During one of the segments of the show, Ameesha was asked about being cast opposite Hrithik Roshan in Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai when she was barely 14 or 15 years old. The actress confirmed the story, saying, “It is true that Rakesh Roshan wanted to cast me, but my family was against it. They denied the offer because I come from a political-business background and was going to Boston for my studies. However, when I returned, in a wedding I met Rakesh uncle, he didn’t recognize me at first. Within two days, I had signed Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai and a few weeks later, the contract was finalized, and we started shooting,” she said according to ETimes
She also recalled an instance when Rakesh Roshan asked her if she wanted to do a film where she would have to play the mother of a 7-year-old child. Ameesha said, “I received many calls congratulating me, but some of them advised me not to take up the role, stating that I was too young to play a mother’s role. However, I saw it as a character and enjoyed it, and later, their perception changed,” the actress added.
The anticipation for “Gadar 2” is at its peak, and fans are eagerly hoping for another box office success. The highly anticipated film is scheduled to release on August 11.
