Abhishek Bachchan is really putting in the effort to promote his upcoming movie “Ghoomer,” which will be released in theaters on August 18. During one of the promotional interviews with Mashable India, he playfully teased his friend and fellow actor, John Abraham, suggesting that if John wasn’t into acting and movies, he could have been a great mechanic.
When asked about his own involvement with bikes, like whether he takes them apart and puts them back together, Abhishek mentioned, “I have a friend called John Abraham. I think he was born to be a mechanic. Lekin woh galti se supermodel aur superactor ban gaya. John’s first passion is disassembling his bikes, then assembling them. So I have learnt a lot of that from him,” the actor added.
Last year, in another interview with Mashable, Abhishek revealed that John had actually taught him how to ride a bike for the movie “Dhoom.” “I didn’t know how to ride a bike. I had ridden a bike in a film just before that, but they put me on a trolley and moved it. My parents never allowed me to ride a bike because they were worried. During the shooting, John taught me how to ride. He would ride alongside me and teach me. He was amazing. He lived in Bandra and would ride all the way to Juhu with me. He said, ‘Baba, just remember. You have to be very responsible.’ Being Parsi, he knew how to take apart a bike and he showed me the chassis, saying, ‘This is what you’re riding on.’ He was very safety-conscious and taught me everything, which made me really confident.”
Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham have worked together in movies like “Dhoom” and “Dostana,” and they’ve become good friends over the years.
John is known for his extensive collection of bikes and his love for them in the industry. He owns several superbikes such as the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R, Aprilia RSV4, Ducati V4 Panigale, and many others.
