Aamir Khan Breaks Silence On Horrifying Exodus Of Kashmiri Pandits

During an event in Delhi, Aamir Khan acknowledged the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits and praised Vivek Agnihotri's film 'The Kashmir Files'.

‘The Kashmir Files’ has become a sensation worldwide. Earlier claimed to be a ‘propaganda film’, Vivek Agnihotri’s directorial has been well-received by the masses and the box office numbers are proof of it. After two weeks of the release, Bollywood actor Aamir Khan has come forward to appreciate the film’s success. He also acknowledged the plight of Kashmiri Pandits while interacting with the media.

Aamir Khan, along with Alia Bhatt attended a press conference for RRR in Delhi on March 20. During the media interaction, Aamir was asked about his views on Vivek Agnihotri’s ‘The Kashmir Files’. Addressing the media, Aamir said, “Ji zaroor dekhunga main…Wo ek history ka aisa hissa hain jo dil dukta hain usme…jo Kashmiri Pandits k sath hua hain, wo dukh ka baat hain…aur aise film jo bani hain uss topic pe woh yakennan har Hindustandi ko dekhna chaiye (Yes, I will definitely see. The story is a part of our history and whatever happened with the Kashmiri Pandits was really sad. Any film on such a topic must be seen by all Indians).”

He further added, “This film has touched the emotions of all people who believe in humanity and that is what is so beautiful about it,” Aamir said. “I will definitely watch the film and I am happy to see that the film is successful.”

Alia Bhatt, who stood beside him, nodded her head in agreement.

‘The Kashmir Files’ was released in theatres on March 11th. Made with a small budget, the film is all set to cross the Rs 200 crore collection this week.
