  1. Karisma’s nickname Lolo given by her mother Babita is inspired by Hollywood actor Gina Lollobrigida. Lolo also means sweet in Sindhi which is her mother’s native tongue. 
  2. Her breakthrough roles of Raja Hindustani and Dil Toh Pagal Hai were written for other actresses before Karisma got on board. 
  3. Kapoor was the first choice for Juhi Chawla’s role in Ishq (1997) and Manisha Koirala’s role in Gupt (1997) to Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Asoka (2001) and Talaash (2012), and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s Bride and Prejudice (2004).
  4. Kapoor was the first celebrity from Bollywood to endorse Coca-Cola in India as a brand ambassador in 1998.
  5. Before Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma turned radio jockey for 92.7 FM radio station. The special segment titled ‘Big Memsaab’ witnessed her talking about fashion and lifestyle.
