After her tortuous conservatorship was eventually terminated, Britney Spears has been living her best life. She recently tied the knot and has been exploring the globe. She does, however, have a troubled relationship with her family and it’s no secret. In the midst of continued hostility between the two, Lynne Spears, Britney’s mother, recently stated that she only wants her daughter to be ‘happy.’
In a video acquired by Page Six, a photographer asked Lynne how she was feeling after learning she wouldn’t be attending her estranged daughter’s wedding to Sam Asghari as she was departing LAX on Thursday. The mother of three avoided discussing Britney much, but she stressed that she just wants the best for her eldest child. I just want her to be happy, she added in the video footage as she made her way to the parking lot.
After their spat over the singer’s contentious conservatorship, Lynne made many attempts to get in touch with her daughter. After the singer wed on June 9, Lynne left a remark on Britney’s Instagram post that included images from the extravagant ceremony that was held in her backyard. “You look radiant and so happy!” she wrote, before adding, “Your wedding is the ‘Dream’ wedding! And having it at your home makes it so sentimental and special! I am soooo happy for you! I love you!”
Britney severed relations with the majority of her family following the conclusion of her almost 14-year conservatorship, which oversaw the singer’s personal affairs and estate. The renowned family’s feuding continues. Jamie Spears, Britney’s father filed documents in court last Friday, June 17, accusing Britney of conducting a slander campaign against him on social media. In a June 14 tweet, Britney attacked her brother Bryan Spears, claiming that he was never invited to her long-awaited wedding.
Lynne also commented on one of the pop star’s social media postings, “You have got to be kidding me!!” with an eye roll emoji. Although the remarks were eventually removed, Britney briefly erased her whole Instagram account. Britney Spears recently erased her social media accounts following her lavish wedding to Sam Asghari, but she ultimately returned to Instagram to provide a life update.
She admitted that shortly after the couple married, they moved into a new house, which she admitted was “not the smartest thing to do.” She wrote, “Haven’t been on my honeymoon yet… got married and moved into a new house around the same time… not the smartest thing to do… oh well it’s coming together. It’s so weird I wake up and everything is new… new pool… the new kitchen… new bed… I think I’m in shock!!! Figuring out a couple of things.”
