Tamil and Malayalam actress Arundhati Nair is currently on a ventilator following a road accident in Kerala. Her sister, Arathy, confirmed the news after various reports surfaced regarding the incident. Arathy took to Instagram to share a statement about the accident, requesting fans to keep Arundhati in their prayers. The accident occurred at the Kovalam bypass, resulting in head injuries for Arundhati, who was traveling with her brother. As per India Today, Arundhati was returning home after an interview with a YouTube channel when the accident occurred.
In a post, Arundhati’s sister Arathy wrote, “We felt the need to clarify the news reported in Tamil Nadu’s newspapers and television channels. It is true that my sister Arundhathi Nair had an accident three days ago, she is critically injured and fighting for her life while being kept on a ventilator at the Ananthapuri Hospital in Trivandrum.”
Arundhathi Nair’s family has received numerous calls following her accident four days ago. Remyaa Joseph, her colleague, urged the public to refrain from inundating them with inquiries about the actor’s health.
Joseph shared more details about Arundhati’s health in his Instagram reel, he said, “Her ribs are broken, there’s a fracture in her neck bone, her spleen is damaged and there are blood clots, too”.

For those unfamiliar, Arundhati Nair made her debut in 2014 with the Tamil movie Pongi Ezhu Manohara. She gained recognition after her role in Vijay Antony’s Saithan. In 2018, she ventured into the Malayalam film industry with Ottakoru Kaamukan. Her most recent film was in 2023, titled Aayiram Porkaasukal, where she starred alongside Vidharth. The movie was directed by Ravi Murukaya.
