Gajendra Chauhan, who played the role of ‘Yudhishthir’ from ‘Mahabharat, has joined the lengthy list of those who are upset with Om Raut's Adipurush.

It is important to say that the enthusiasm of the audience for this year’s most-awaited film, Adipurush, has been turned into a nightmare. Ever since the film has been released, the attention of the viewers has been drawn due to many reasons that demanded the film be banned, including poor VFX, rubbish dialogue, and showing Ravana’ wearing a T-shirt. The director of the film Om Raut and the cast are facing so much hate, and people are trolling them for dissecting the Ramayana. And not only the audience, but many actors have also become firebumble, in which the number of Ramayana and Mahabharata actors is greater.

Gajendra Chauhan, a renowned actor who played the role of  ‘Yudhishthir’ from ‘Mahabharat, has joined the lengthy list of those who are upset with the way Om Raut and his crew portrayed the Ramayana on the big screen. In a conversation with India Today, the veteran discussed his opinion of Om Raut’s Adipurush and explained why he is upset with the movie. The actor admitted that although he had already bought the ticket, he realised the movie wasn’t about the Ramayana after seeing a few glimpses before heading to the theatre. Gajendra expressed his disappointment and said he didn’t watch Adipurush in the theatre because he didn’t want to sacrifice his principles.

He also discussed his displeasure with the dialogue used in the movie during the interview. The seasoned performer criticised Adipurush’s dialogue writer, Manoj Muntashir, and remarked that the project was the outcome of shallow thought. Additionally, Gajendra contrasted Manoj’s writing with that of the illustrious Rahi Masoom Raza Saab, who wrote the dialogue for BR Chopra’s Mahabharat. Gajendra acknowledged that Manoj hadn’t come close to matching Rahi Masoom’s lifetime accomplishments. Gajendra referred to Manoj as an egotistical man.
