Pushpa 2, starring Allu Arjun, has been sold to a major OTT giant for a staggering amount. The film's makers are sparing no effort to ensure its success as a blockbuster at the box office.

South superstar Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa: The Rise – Part 1’, which was released in 2021, became a massive hit in India, collecting a humongous amount at the box office. The actor’s performance in the film was exceptional, earning him a National Award for Best Actor. Following the success of the first part, fans eagerly await the sequel titled ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, set to release on August 15, 2024.

To the surprise of many, reports initially stated that the OTT rights for ‘Pushpa 2’ were sold to Amazon Prime for Rs. 30 crore. However, new reports suggest that Netflix, another OTT platform, has offered three times the amount, reportedly Rs. 100 crore, as per Deccan Herald.

According to OTT Play sources, the deal has been finalized, with reports claiming that director Sukumar will also receive a stake from ‘Pushpa 2’s’ OTT deal.

The film’s makers spare no expense, investing significantly in its production, aiming to make it a blockbuster. The stellar cast includes Fahadh Faazil, Sunil, Anasuya Bharadwaj, and Ajay Ghosh, alongside Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandhana in pivotal roles.

Unlike its predecessor, this film will not be confined to Hindi or South Indian languages; it will be dubbed in multiple languages to reach a wider audience.

Reports suggest that the movie has been made on a staggering budget of Rs. 500 crore.
