Owner of the production company Geetha Arts, Allu Aravind, who is an Indian film producer as well as distributor, was almost caught in controversy after his statement made in the teaser launch event of ‘Kotabommali PS’. His statement made many fans angry and many showed their hatred towards his statement.
In that event, the father of famous Tollywood actor Allu Arjun, Allu Aravind, was asked about the consequences of actor’s fees on the film’s budget. As he is a producer and distributor too, he has experience of all these things. The question asked him explained that after giving hit films, actors raise their charges, does it affect the film’s budget or not?
Replying to this question, Allu Aravind said, “Other than actor’s fees, a lot of money is spent on making the movie a great venture. So, the actor’s fees really don’t matter most as he gets only 20-25% of the total cost of earnings as his charge.”
To provide reality to his answer and to give some weight to what he was talking about, he cited the example of famous Tollywood actor Yash. He continued saying, “Who was Yash before the release of the KGF movie? Why did that movie make noise? It was that richness that led to the success of the movie. This is just one example. Whoever the hero of the movie is, it is because of the making that it attracts the audience.”
According to him, KGF was a hit because of the production cost and magnificence of the movie. The richness the makers put into this film is what made it a hit and not the face and efforts of the actor. But Allu Aravind’s words hurt the sentiments of many fans of Yash. Fans commented in favor of Yash on social media on Allu Aravind’s video.
User wrote, “For Allu Aravind, please show a few Yash movies released before KGF. Mr&Mrs Ramachari, Googly, Rajahuli and few more. Not only his son was an Hero in the Indian films.” Another user said, “KGF is special only because of Yash. It is unimaginable without him. That is his contribution. What’s this guy’s problem?” “Why hate on yash? Everyone is a small hero before their big movie. Even Allu Arjun was a small hero in tier2 range who used to compete with vijay devarakonda until his big movie Alavaikuntapuram lo”, another wrote.
Allu Aravind’s this statement made fans angry, as Yash really has gained a larger popularity in the last few years.
