Vikram Becomes Highest-Grossing Film In Tamil Nadu
According to the reports, Kamal Haasan’s ‘Vikram’ has reportedly minted over Rs 35 crores at the Kerala box office and the reports also say that the action entertainer has become one of the highest-grossing films of the year. The film is now at the top of the highest-grossing films in Tamil Nadu. As of today, the film has overtaken the records set by Baahubali 2.
According to the reports, the films that performed well at the box office during the pandemic era were ‘KGF: Chapter 2’, ‘Bheeshma Parvam’, ‘Kurup’, and the Prithviraj Sukumaran starrer ‘Kurup’. While now it seems that Vikram has also been added to the list. Film trade analyst, Ramesh Bala recently took to Twitter and wrote, “#Vikram to cross #Viswasam and #Baahubali2 TN Gross to reach All-time No.1 TN Grosser soon..”
Recently the film crossed the 200cr mark and emerged as the top choice of moviegoers. On 7 June film trade analyst, Ramesh Bala took over his Twitter and announced the recent benchmark set by the film on breaching 200cr worldwide, he Tweeted, “#Vikram enters the ₹200 Crs (crore) WW (worldwide) Gross Club”.
The blockbuster film successfully breached the 150cr club worldwide during the weekend. Entertainment industry tracker Sreedhar Pillai took over Twitter and shared the figures, he wrote, “#Vikram has turned out to be a universal hit with terrific WOM. The@ikamalhaasan action extravaganza directed by@Dir_Lokesh has grossed over ₹150Cr from worldwide box-office in opening weekend, India alone accounting for ₹100 Cr+. Biggest post pandemic hit from Kollywood!”
Apart from Kamal Haasan, ‘Vikram’ featured Mollywood actor Fahadh Faasil who remained the show-stealer in the first half of the movie as the character named Amar. ‘Jallikettu’ fame Girish Gangadharan handled the cinematography of the action thriller. While Suriya’s cameo in the film remained as the treat for the fans to watch.
Helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the script of ‘Vikram’ is penned down by the director himself. The cinematography of ‘Vikram’is done by Girish Gangadharan and the editing by Philomon Raj. ‘Vikram’ has an ensemble cast that includes Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil, Narain, Chemban Vinod Jose, and Kalidas Jayaram in pivotal roles.
