September 2023 recorded many hit South releases like Kangana Ranaut and Raghava Lawrence starrer Tamil film “Chandramukhi 2”, Vishal, S. J. Suryah starrer Tamil film “Vijay Antony” and Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Vijay Deverakonda starrer romantic drama “Kushi” among others. While many much-anticipated releases like Thalapathy Vijay starrer “Leo”, Rakshit Shetty starrer, “Sapta Sagaradaache Ello” and others are still in the queue. So, without further ado, let’s take a look at the upcoming Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam films releasing in October 2023.
South Movies Releasing In October 2023
- Irugapatru (6th October) (Tamil)
Yuvaraj Dhayalan’s directorial Irugapatru is a much-awaited Tamil film featuring Vikram Prabhu, Shraddha Srinath, Vidharth and Saniya Iyyappan as lead characters. The romantic-drama Tamil movie scheduled to be released on 6 Oct, 2023. Watch trailer-
- Ratham (6th October) (Tamil)
Directed by C.S. Amudhan, Ratham is an upcoming Tamil Action-Drama Thriller film featuring actor and music director Vijay Antony in the lead role alongside Mahima Nambiar, Nandita Swetha and Remya Nambeesan. The Tamil film will be released in theatres on 6th October.
- Leo (19th October) (Tamil)
Directed by “Vikram” and “Kaithi” director Lokesh Kanagaraj, Leo is an upcoming much-anticipated Tamil action thriller film which will feature actor Thalapathy Vijay alongside Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt and Ponniyin Selvan actress Trisha Krishnan. Apart from them the film will also feature Arjun Sarja, Priya Anand and others in significant roles. Produced by S. S. Lalit Kumar and Jagadish Palanisamy the film will be released in the theatres on 19th October 2023.
- Ghost (19th October)
Releasing on the same day alongside Vijay Thalapathy’s film Leo is the upcoming Kannada action thriller film, Ghost. Directed by M. G. Srinivas the film features an ensemble cast including Shiva Rajkumar, Jayaram, Anupam Kher, Prashant Narayanan, Satya Prakash, and Archana Jois. The Kannada film will hit the theatres on 19th October alongside Leo.
Tiger Nageswara Rao (20th October) (Telugu)
Tiger Nageswara Rao is an upcoming Telugu action thriller film. Directed by Vamsee and produced by Abhishek Agarwal the film stars Ravi Teja in the titular role alongside Anupam Kher, Nupur Sanon, Renu Desai, Jisshu Sengupta, Gayatri Bhardwaj and Murali Sharma among others. The Telugu film is set to release in theatres on 20th October.
Aadujeevitham (23rd October) (Malayalam)
Aadujeevitham also known as The Goat Life, is an upcoming Malayalam survival drama film written, directed, and co-produced by Blessy starring actor Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role alongside Amala Paul, Jimmy Jean-Louis, Lena and others. The Malayalam film will hit the theatres on 23rd October.
Sapta Sagaradaache Ello (27th October) (Kannada)
Directed by Hemanth Rao Sapta Sagaradaache Ello Side B is a Kannada romantic-drama film starring South superstar Rakshit Shetty alongside Rukmini Vasanth, and Chaitra J Achar in the lead roles. Sapta Sagaradaache Ello Side B which was earlier expected to release on 19th October will now be releasing in theatres on 27th October.
Apart from them, the Telugu film Bhagavanth Kesari will be released on 19 October 2023. Tamil film Enaku Endey Kidaiyaathu and Kannada film Choo Mantar will be released on 6th October. Malayalam films Pulimada and Tholvi F.C. will be released on the 13th and 16th of October.
