Ponniyin Selvan Box Office Collection: Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan 2 has made a spectacular run at the box office. After crossing the 100cr mark in the domestic market, the film has now entered the 200cr club with its worldwide box office collection.

Mani Ratnam’s epic drama, Ponniyin Selvan 2 crossed the 150cr mark on its 3rd day with its global box office collection. Even on its fourth day at the box office, the film managed to secure double digits. As per a sacnilk report, periodic drama, Ponniyin Selvan 2 earned around 24cr on its fourth day. Meanwhile, the film now stands at a domestic total of Rs 105.02 cr.
The film has made a spectacular run at the box office leaving behind two of the biggest Tamil hits, “Varisu” and “Beast”. Sharing the same film trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan on Monday tweeted, “Today #PonniyinSelvan part 2 will CROSS the lifetime collection of #Beast[₹153.64 cr] & #Varisu[₹195.20 cr].”

Mani Ratnam’s magnum-opus “Ponniyin Selvan 2” was released in theatres on April 28. It is a sequel to the 2022 release and continues the saga of the Chola dynasty. The film has an ensemble cast of Chiyaan Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha Krishnan, and Sobhita Dhulipala.
PS 2 is a film adaptation of the novel Ponniyin Selvan. Mani Ratnam has always called it his ‘dream project’. The film is produced by Lyca Productions.
