Ponniyin Selvan 2 Is Soaring High At Box Office Within 3 Days

Ponniyin Selvan 2 Box Office Collection: Mani Ratnam’s magnum-opus “Ponniyin Selvan 2” was released in theatres on April 28. It is a sequel to the 2022 release and continues the saga of the Chola dynasty. The film has an ensemble cast of Chiyaan Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha Krishnan and Sobhita Dhulipala. Within three days of its release, the period drama film created havoc at the box office globally.

Ponniyin Selvan 2 is having a phenomenal run at the box office. The film grossed Rs 150 crore in three days globally. Trade analyst Ramesh Bala tweeted, “PonniyinSelvan2 has crossed 150 Crs gross at the WW Box office in 3 days..”

PS 2 had a pan-India release in five languages- Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi. As per the reports, the film is running well in New Zealand, Australia and North America.

Ponniyin Selvan 2 is at No.3 in Australia. It has earned 908K Australian $ in 3 days.

In North America, the film made over $3 million (Rs 24 crore approximately) in just three days.

PS 2 is a film adaptation of the novel Ponniyin Selvan. Mani Ratnam has always called it his ‘dream project’. The film is produced by Lyca Productions.
