Nayanthara, Lady Superstar and Thalaivi of the Tamil film industry was last seen in Vijay‘s big-budget flick Bigil. She is famous for picking quality women-centric scripts and has carved a niche for herself in the film industry. Nayanthara, who is seen setting career goals for many young actresses, revealed how she has one regret in life. She in her recent interview spoke about making one mistake in her career.
Nayanthara is also known for taking no part in any promotional events of her films nor gives any interviews. But she recently spoke to a popular radio channel where she got candid about her career and her upcoming films. On being asked one film she regrets doing, she was quick to name Ghajini.
Helmed by director AR Murugadoss, Nayanthara played the role of Chithra in Suriya’s Ghajini. Further talking about it, she said, “I consider doing Ghajini the biggest mistake in my career. While signing the film, I got a narration for my role but it didn’t turn out the way as promised. I felt cheated. My character was quite different from how it was narrated. From then on, I made a conscious choice to listen to scripts properly.”
Her reply raised many eyebrows in the industry as Ghajini released in 2005, and now 14 years later she is working with AR Murugadoss again for Darbar. Seems like she kept aside her differences and proceeded to work with the director. In her upcoming movie Darbar, she will be seen opposite her Chandramukhi co-star Superstar Rajinikanth, and the film will hit theatres on Pongal 2020. She is also currently filming for upcoming Tamil film Netrikann, which is being produced by her fiance Vignesh Shivan.
