Lokesh Kanagaraj Makes Acting Debut With Shruti Haasan’s Song ‘Inimel’

Kamal Haasan and Lokesh Kanagaraj, who previously collaborated on the hit film Vikram, have joined forces once more, this time for a music video project. The video, titled “Inimel,” is a creation of Shruti Haasan, who both composed and conceptualized it, with lyrics penned by Kamal Haasan. The leading roles in the video are portrayed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and Shruti Haasan, capturing the ups and downs of a contemporary romance.

Inimel, produced by Kamal Haasan and R Mahendran under the Raajkamal Films International banner, is helmed by director Dwarkesh Prabakar. The project boasts a skilled technical team including cinematographer Bhuvan Gowda, musician Yanchan, and editor Philomin Raj.

The public launch event for the music video “Inimel” took place in Chennai, with lead actors Lokesh and Shruti in attendance. The song, infused with Shruti Haasan’s allure and enriched by her father Kamal Haasan’s poignant lyrics, explores the journey of two individuals navigating the complexities of love.

From their initial encounter through a dating app to envisioning a shared future, including living together, marriage, and even contemplating divorce during a movie date, they ultimately choose each other. Fans praise Lokesh Kanagaraj’s performance in the contemporary romantic tune, considering it a commendable job in the music video.

On the professional front, Lokesh Kanagaraj has recently made a cameo appearance in “Singapore Saloon” and is slated to co-star with superstar Rajinikanth in the highly anticipated “Thalaivar 171.” Meanwhile, Shruti Haasan is also occupied with numerous projects. She leads in the cross-cultural romantic comedy “Chennai Story,” appears alongside Adivi Sesh in the Hindi-Telugu bilingual “Dacoit,” and is set to feature in the forthcoming “Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryaanga Parvam,” scheduled for release next year.
