Directed by Arun Matheswaran, the much-anticipated action-adventure Tamil film, Captain Miller starring South actor Dhanush was released in theatres on 12 January 2024 alongside the Tamil film, Ayalaan. After receiving positive reviews from critics and the audience, Captain Miller secured a decent opening at the box office beating the Tamil film Ayalaan in their Pongal box office clash.

Starring Dhanush, Arun Matheswaran’s action-adventure Tamil film, Captain Miller was released in theatres on 12 January 2024. The film received positive reactions from the fans and audience and positive reviews from the critics who called the film a good action-packed flick.
After a successful theatrical release, the Tamil film, Captain Miller registered a decent start at the box office. As per Sacnilk.com, Captain Miller earned approx. ₹ 8.65 Cr on its opening day beating R. Ravikumar’s Tamil film, Ayalaan in their Pongal box office clash.
Although Captain Miller beat Ayalaan and Merry Christmas at the box office clash, however, the film’s box office opening was surpassed by Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram which earned ₹ 42.00 Cr. and Teja Sajja starrer Hanuman which earned ₹ 11.91 Cr.
