Nagraj Manjule’s upcoming Marathi movie Ghar Banduk Biryani is one of the most anticipated Marathi film of this year. The film was scheduled to arrive in cinemas on March 30. However Nagraj Manjule took to his social media to announce that the film has received a new release date. The film will now arrive in cinemas on April 7.
Nagraj announce the new release date along with a new poster. The poster sees Nagraj Manjule, Akash Thosar and Sayaji Shinde holding a gun a in their hand. Although it’s not clear yet why the makers opted to postpone the release by a week, it seems they wanted to avoid a clash with Ajay Devgn’s most awaited 3D action thriller Bholaa, which is also arriving in cinemas on March 30.
Ghar Banduk Biryani is directed by debutant Hemant Jangal Awtade. Film’s story, screenplay and dialogues are by Nagraj Manjule and he is also working as creative director on the film.
Ghar Banduk Biryani is produced by Zee Studios, Nagraj Popatrao Manjule, Bhushan Popatrao Manjule. On the technical front, cinematography is done by Vikram Amladi. Av Prafullachandra is composing film’s music and background score. Kutub Inamdar is the editor and Sheshraj Manjule, Kiran Gadekar have done the art direction.
