One of the most talented Malayalam director Basil Joseph has shared a good news from his personal life. The director-actor has become a father. Basil Joseph shared the good news on Twitter with an adorable family picture where he is seen holding his daughter in hand with his wife.
Basil Joseph wrote, “Thrilled to announce the arrival of our little bundle of joy, HOPE ELIZABETH BASIL ! She has already stolen our hearts and we are over the moon with love for our precious daughter. We can’t wait to watch her grow and learn from her every day.”
Basil’s daughter is named Hope Elizabeth Basil. For the unversed, Basil and his wife Elizabeth Samuel got married in August 2017 and Hope is their Basil is one of most prominent name in Malayalam film industry who made his directorial debut with ‘Kunjiramayanam’, but he rose to fame with his last directorial venture Minnal Murali (2021)- a superhero drama starring Tovino Thomas in the lead. The film did wonders at the box office and later garner even more appreciation after it’s OTT premiere on Netflix.
Besides directing, Basil Joseph is also known for his acting skills. Basil recently impressed everyone with his acting in recent film Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey, where he played the role of a husband who mocks his wife who wants to continue her education.
Basil has announced the sequel of his blockbuster film Minnal Murali, where Tovino Thomas will be seen reprising his role. He is currently working on the script for the same.
