IPL 2020: MS Dhoni Expresses His Thoughts After Chennai’s Loss Against Hyderabad

The Chennai-based franchise is visibly struggling to bring forth their best performance in IPL 2020. On Friday, Chennai suffered a 7-run loss against the Hyderabad. Following the consecutive losses, the Chennai team remains at the bottom of the Points Table. On the other hand, after registering the win, Hyderabad grabbed the number four spot in the table. Reflecting on the game, skipper MS Dhoni spoke candidly about Chennai’s loss against Hyderabad.

The Chennai skipper admitted that his team needs to get a lot of things right. The wicket-keeping batsman confesses to be feeling guilty for the same mistakes. This loss is Chennai’s third loss, and they have till now played four matches in the tournament.

In the post-match presentation, MS Dhoni spoke about areas of improvements after Chennai’s loss against Hyderabad.

The 39-year old said, “We have to get a lot of things right. It’s the professionalism – dropping catches, bowling no-balls. We’re making the same mistakes again. After the 16th over, we had two bad overs. Overall, we could have been slightly better.”

On the other hand, Hyderabad skipper David Warner criticised the wicket at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. However, the fiery Aussie batsmen praised his team for their effort.

For the unknown, this happens to be Hyderabad’s second consecutive victory in the 13th season of the Indian Premier League.

Speaking of the match, Hyderabad won the toss and asked Chennai to chase the target. In this inning, Hyderabad put up a score of 164 runs at the loss of 5 wickets. This also includes a maiden IPL 50 by young batsman Priyam Garg.

Apart from Garg, another youngster Abhishek Sharma also played a crucial knock of 31 runs.

While chasing, Chennai lost the match instead of Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja’s fightback knocks. Dhoni and Jadeja scored 47 and 50 respectively.

Indeed Chennai lost the game, but the fans are happy to see vintage Dhoni in IPL 2020.
