Kuldeep and Chahal Both Should Play The 2nd ODI Against New Zealand- Harbhajan Singh

Harbhajan Singh put forth his view about playing both Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal for the 2nd ODI against New Zealand.

Team India faced a thwarting loss in the first ODI against  New Zealand. Ross Taylor’s fiery knock helped the Kiwis to chase down the target of 348 runs in the first ODI on Wednesday. The hosts are currently leading the three-match ODI series by 1-0. The Men in Blue will surely be aiming to take revenge after failing to keep the momentum going after the T20I series win.

Meanwhile, former India spinner Harbhajan Singh said that India should ensure that the wrist-spin duo of Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal play together in the second ODI against New Zealand on Saturday.

Kuldeep who played in the first ODI grabbed 2 wickets by conceding 84 runs and was thus was amongst the most expensive Indian bowlers. On the other hand, Chahal was not included in the squad.

Harbhajan said, “I would like to see both spinners playing together –Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal.”

“These New Zealand batsmen can play fast bowlers at any given day but when it comes to playing spin, it has always been a case for them”, Harbhajan added.

He further said, “You can get those wickets in the middle overs. So I would like to see both the spinners play together. Maybe leave out Kedar Jadhav and play an extra spinner.”

Team India should surely think of rearranging the team if they aim to bounce back in the series, to win the remaining matches.
