Lalu Yadav and Rabri Devi Native Villages Seething over Nitish Kumar

The Current Chief Minister of Bihar Nitish Yadav had made a remark over Lalu having 8-9 children. This remark has got him the wrath of many villages.

Lalu Yadav and Rabri Devi have nine children. While this is not a very huge deal if you take into account that this happened decades ago. It was common for people to have many kids over that time.

Nitish Kumar while attacking Tejashwi Yadav went ahead an made it a political jibe. He said,“He (Lalu Yadav) has given birth to eight-nine children. He has no faith in his daughters. After several daughters, his sons were born. What kind of Bihar do you want? Is this the kind of Bihar you want? You can imagine the extent to which Bihar will be ruined. Everything will be destroyed,” Kumar had said.

Well obviously this did not go down well with natives of Lalu Yadav and Rabri Devi’s villages.

The women of Rabri Devi’s village Selar Kala in general have taken this issue to heart and slammed the CM.

“Nitish Kumar has lost his cool. He claims to be educated. However, it does not behove of a person like him to talk about who has how many children on a public platform. He should have better things to talk about,” said an elderly Rampari Devi.

“In older times, having big families was a tradition. Even Nitish Kumar has siblings. One should not talk about what happened three-four decades ago. Living in the past cannot take one forward,” Chandrakala Devi said.

Lalu Yadav’s village

RDJ supremo Lalu Yadav’s village Phulwaria also echoed same feeling and wrath.

“It seems that Nitish has forgotten the basic decency due to the fear of losing his chair. Who has given him the right to play with the prestige of women,” said Purushottam Choudhary.

The locals of these two villages also feel that it is time for next generation CM from the Lalu- Rabri family to take over.

“The local MLA used to say that the villages developed as it had two former CMs. Now, it is time for the third. People are voting for change this time,” said Ramanand Prasad.

The fact that Phulwaria village has a railway station, helipad, land registry office, post office, bank, government school and referral hospital, which people say was built during the RJD regime helps their case.

“But Nitish neglected this area. Now, Tejashwi has promised to provide jobs, which is the driving force in this election,” said a youth Rakesh Kumar.

Tejashwi Yadav’s Response

Lalu Yadav’s Son current RDJ chief Tejashwi Yadav had also responded to the attack on his family.

“By commenting on my family, Nitish Kumar is targeting PM Modi as he also has six siblings. By using such language, Nitish Kumar has insulted women and my mother’s sentiments. They don’t speak on main issues including corruption, unemployment etc,” Yadav said.

Meanwhile the spokesperson of JDU defended its leader’s statements.

“The chief minister didn’t say anything that is made fuss of. He has always emphasised on education of girls and has been vocal for women’s empowerment.”
