Cyrus Mistry Death: Former Tata Group chairman Cyrus Mistry died in a car accident this afternoon. He was returning to Mumbai from Gujarat in his Mercedes when his car hit a divider in Maharashtra’s Palghar district. According to the reports, the driver lost control.
Visuals of Cyrus Mistry’s car are now being circulated in the media. His car is brutally damaged from the front left. While the business tycoon died on the spot, two other people are said to be severely injured and are currently hospitalized.
The police official told PTI, “The accident took place around 3.15 pm when Mistry was travelling to Mumbai from Ahmedabad. The accident took place on a bridge over the Surya river. It seems an accident.”
On knowing this shocking piece of news, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted, “The untimely demise of Shri Cyrus Mistry is shocking. He was a promising business leader who believed in India’s economic prowess. His passing away is a big loss to the world of commerce and industry. Condolences to his family and friends. May his soul rest in peace.”
