Not Dalgona Coffee, Chef Sanjeev Kapoor Wants You To Try THIS

After Dalgona Coffee Challenge trended online, Celebrity Chef Sanjeev Kapoor suggested a healthy alternative to it. Check out!

The outbreak of Coronavirus has forced people to stay indoors for an indefinite time. People are not able to go out and that is why they are finding new ways to keep themselves entertained. And the internet and social media are playing a big role in it. Recently, several fun challenges went viral on social media and one of them was the Dalgona coffee challenge.

For the unaware, Dalgona coffee is made by whipping equal proportions of sugar, coffee and hot water until it becomes creamy and then adding it to cold or hot milk. Toppings of coffee powder, cocoa, honey or crumbled biscuits can also be done.

After people participated in this viral challenge, Celebrity Chef Sanjeev Kapoor, he suggested a better alternative to it. In an interview, he said, “These days, people are talking a lot about dalgona coffee, I will suggest you whisk turmeric milk and have it, nothing’s better than that. For Vitamin C, eat citrus fruits, capsicum, Indian gooseberry and broccoli, but with focussed consumption.”

He laid emphasis on boosting immunity especially when the world is suffering from coronavirus. He added, “Healthy and balanced eating has always been of importance but the focus has increased now. One of the best things is haldi/turmeric. Haldi has antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. Add a bit of it in everything you make. You can have a glass of hot water with haldi in it, you can add tulsi and ginger too.”

He also suggested that one can make little tablets of jaggery and turmeric and consume one tablet on having a sore throat.
