In a significant move for fans of the Krrish franchise, filmmaker Rakesh Roshan has confirmed that Krrish 4 is officially in the works but he will not be directing it. After helming the first three installments of the beloved superhero saga, Rakesh announced his decision to step down from directing duties. He shared in a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, “I don’t think I’ll be directing anymore. But I will be announcing Krrish 4 very soon”.
Rakesh Roshan’s Krrish journey began with Koi Mil Gaya in 2003, which introduced audiences to the lovable character Rohit and his son Krishna, aka Krrish. The success of the film led to the creation of the superhero franchise with Krrish in 2006 and Krrish 3 in 2013. Hrithik Roshan has played the lead role throughout, alongside co-stars like Priyanka Chopra, Rekha, Naseeruddin Shah and Vivek Oberoi to name a few. Fans have been eagerly waiting for the next chapter and with Krrish 4 finally confirmed, anticipation is at an all-time high.

While Rakesh Roshan will not direct Krrish 4, he will remain involved in the project as a producer under his Filmkraft Productions banner. This decision marks a shift in his career as he plans to step away from directing and focus more on producing. He also shared that he would be re-releasing some of his iconic films, starting with Karan Arjun on November 22, 2024.
Fans are excited to see what direction the Krrish franchise will take under new direction, but Rakesh’s announcement of Krrish 4 ensures that the legacy of this iconic series will continue.
