Whenever a film is set to release in the Bollywood industry, a tinge of controversy comes around always. Similar is the case with the upcoming Alia Bhatt starrer ‘Jigra’. The makers and starcast of Jigra as a part of their promotional campaign, sat for an interview with Anmol Jamwal. The discussion featured Vedang Raina, Alia Bhatt and Vasan Bala-the director of the film. In one of his conversations, Vasan Bala shared how Alia Bhatt got into the film stating that Karan Johar sent the script to Alia without Vasan’s knowledge, in the rough format. He ended his thoughts by stating that he was quite unhappy to be doing this. Post the interview went viral, producer Karan Johar received utmost hate by fans who claimed he forcefully got Alia into the film and that director was not ready to cast Alia for the same.

Although, tweets from the interviewer and film maker Vasan Bala later on, swirled on the internet to assure that the statement is misinterpreted by netizens and he just meant the script was ‘roughly-prepared’ with grammatical errors and zero hygiene-check which is why he was disappointed. But, fans continued to spread the negative word against KJo. Upon the same, Karan Johar has now chosen to speak up to clear the air for once and all. Recently, the Jigra producer took to his instagram to share a picture with a long message regarding the continuous negativity. The image read, ‘We have to be strong to ensure our life is stable enough to shut some negative people’s mouth”. Sharing the same, the actor penned a long caption. In the caption he stated the main message, “The grave misinterpretation of his comment about me sending the script to Alia without his grammar checks made me laugh initially at the ludicrousness of it all but now is truly annoying me … Vasan continues to be one of my most talented and wonderful collaborators and if you see his interview and hear his tone you will totally get it! “
Jigra is slated to release on the 11th of October in theatres. The film is directed by Vasan Bala, and produced by Dharma Productions. For the first time, Alia Bhatt is also co-producing the film which is why she is excited for the project a lot. Also, this is the first time when Alia will be sharing screen with Vedang Raina who has just stepped into the bollywood industry after his debut in Zoya Akhtar’s film ‘Archies’.
