Directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth, the long-awaited Tamil sports drama “Lal Salaam” finally premiered in theaters on February 9th. Starring the renowned South superstar Rajinikanth, the film garnered favorable reviews from audiences upon its release. Despite this positive reception, however, the movie faced a lackluster performance at the box office.
Lal Salaam Box Office Collection Day 7
According to Sacnilk.com, the Tamil sports drama “Lal Salaam,” starring Rajinikanth, garnered ₹3.55 Cr on its opening day. Unfortunately, the film failed to show any growth over the weekend, earning ₹3.25 Cr on Saturday and ₹3.00 Cr on Sunday. With the weekend proving to be lackluster, the film experienced a further decline in box office numbers in the subsequent days. Monday saw earnings of ₹1.55 Cr, followed by ₹1.45 Cr on Tuesday, ₹1.21 Cr on Wednesday, and ₹0.81 Cr on Thursday.
Lal Salaam Hit Or Flop?
As it currently stands, the film has managed to accumulate a total domestic box office collection of approximately ₹14.97 Cr. This figure falls significantly short of expectations, indicating that “Lal Salaam” has failed to make a substantial impact at the box office.
Despite starring the iconic Rajinikanth and receiving positive reviews from moviegoers, the film’s inability to translate initial interest into sustained box office success suggests that it may be deemed a “flop”.
In conclusion, while “Lal Salaam” may have garnered attention upon its release, its inability to generate substantial earnings and sustain audience interest throughout its theatrical run positions it as a box-office disappointment.

Directed by Rajinikanth’s daughter, Aishwarya, the Tamil film, Lal Salaam features Rajinikanth in the lead role as “Moideen Bhai”. As per the reports, legendary cricketer Kapil Dev also appears in a cameo role in the film. Apart from them, the film will also feature Vishnu Vishal, Nirosha, Dhanya Balakrishna, Sajjadul Ahamed Riya, and others in significant roles. The Tamil sports drama was released in the theatres on 9th January.
