Diwali happens to be one of the biggest festivals celebrated in India, which celebrates victory over evil. From donning ethnic outfits, gorging on food and sweets, lighting up lamps, bursting crackers, and more, Diwali is celebrated with the ones that matter to you, i.e, family and friends. And while several Bollywood celebs took to social media to wish their fans on the occasion, even Wolverine actor Hugh Jackman joined the brigade.
Hugh Jackman took to his Instagram stories and shared a heartfelt Diwali message for his fans, which surely meant a lot to many. He wrote, “Happy Diwali to all who celebrate!” while he also added a glittering Instagram filter which added the Diwali element to his wish.
This is not the first time Hugh Jackman has acknowledged his Indian fans. He on many occasions has made his love for India pretty evident. Even when he bid goodbye to his character as Wolverine, he thanked his Indian fans with the sweetest message. He wrote, “To all my fans in India, I just saw that incredible compilation, thank you so much it means the world to me. It’s been an amazing journey and your support over 17 years, honestly, it touches me. So thank you so much for sending me that video, I’ll keep it forever.”
And though Hugh Jackman retired as Wolverine, during a recent public appearance he was convinced by a fan to take on the role for a brief moment. Being the sport he is, he obliged by giving a roar and got into his Wolverine stance. And though the pictures taken were rather blurry, he did it in good humour.
