Many people in the nation were shocked by Sidharth Shukla’s sudden passing, especially his mother, Rita Shukla, with whom the actor had a close bond. He once detailed his mother’s issues and how, when his father passed away, she took care of the family despite having financial issues.
Sidharth spoke to the Humans of Bombay on the occasion of International Women’s Day. He said that people know him as a man with a rough exterior, but he always melts for his mother. Right from the time he was born, she has been the most important person in his life. He was the youngest of three kids and too small to play with his sisters, so he was almost always around his mother. He further added, “Back when I was a toddler, I’d cry if I had to go a second without her—so even while making rotis, she’d hold me in one hand and the roller in another!
Recalling the day when his father passed away, “it felt like the umbrella over us had been taken away,” he said that his mother was rock-solid and never exhibited symptoms of softness. She handled the home, took care of the three kids, and satisfied all of their demands despite their limited resources. Sidharth added, “I know now that mother must’ve had to make such sacrifices to give us what we desired.
