Shark Tank India’s Ashneer Grover & His Wife ‘Denied’ Permission To Travel To UK

Shark Tank India former judge Ashneer Grover and his wife Madhuri Jain have been refused permission to travel to the United Kingdom.

It’s been reported that Ashneer Grover, renowned from Shark Tank India, and his wife Madhuri Jain have allegedly been refused permission by the Delhi Police to travel to the United Kingdom. According to a Pinkvilla report, Ashneer and Madhuri intended to visit the London School of Economics (LSE) as guest lecturers. Consequently, they had requested permission from the investigation officer of the Delhi Police’s Economic Offences Wing (EOW) to travel to the UK from March 9 to March 15.

The Shark Tank India former judge, Ashneer Grover also reacted to the same and told IndianExpress, “Correspondence between me and EOW is confidential and as per court’s directives… I will continue to cooperate with police in this open and shut case and keep winning in Court. I’ve not got any correspondence regarding the travel permission (which is a confidential correspondence) as yet from EOW.”

For those who might not be aware, Ashneer Grover faced legal issues in May last year following allegations of fund mismanagement at BharatPe. An FIR was filed against him by the EOW, citing sections 406, 420, 468, 471, and 120-B of the Indian Penal Code for criminal breach of trust, cheating, forgery, and criminal conspiracy.

Ashneer Grover gained widespread recognition after appearing on the first season of Shark Tank India. His witty remarks and direct feedback to entrepreneurs captivated audiences’ attention. Despite being known for reprimanding some pitchers, he did not return for the show’s second season, being replaced by CarDekho’s co-founder, Amit Jain.

Currently, Shark Tank India is airing its third season, introducing new judges such as Ritesh Agarwal, the founder of OYO, Azhar Iqubal, co-founder and CEO of Inshorts, and Radhika Gupta, CEO of Edelweiss Capital. Recently, film producer Ronnie Screwvala also joined the panel.
