Munawar Faruqui might have started his career as a stand-up comedian on Youtube, but his popularity and fan base led him to the reality show ‘Lock Upp’ which loosely follows the same format as Bigg Boss. Now, with Munawar entering the finale week of the show, it’s obvious that the 30-year-old has proved himself to be the most favourite contestant, with viewers cheering for him to win the show.

Coming across as a strong contender, Munwar reportedly, has been already confirmed for another hit reality game show, ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’. “Munawar has became one of the favourites among the girls in the Kangana Ranaut hosted show. He is approached for ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 12’ and may be seen as a contestant,” a report stated.

Although an official confirmation from the comedian and the game show makers is yet to be announced, we bring to you some inside scoop from sources who’ve also revealed Munawar’s remuneration for the dare show. It is being revealed that Munawar is currently being paid around 3 to 3.5 Lakhs per week in his current Kangana Ranaut’s show. Given the rise in his popularity and with his stakes of winning the title on the higher side, it is being revealed that Munawar might be rewarded around 4 to 4.5 Lakhs per week on the Rohit Shetty hosted show.

Meanwhile, as Munawar has entered the finale week, fans are betting on him, as his strategies and gameplay have proved him as one of the strongest yet most genuine players of the show, with viewers hoping that he’d win.

Before entering the Show, Munawar had revealed why he took up the offer, he said, ” I don’t think there’s anything wrong in being controversial. It only means that people did not hear your side of the story, or maybe you were taken out of context. I never wanted to be a part of controversies. I never went and told the media my statement to cause some bawaal (commotion). The part of my video that had hurt people, I removed it immediately. It was the public that played it around for a year and made it news. I never wanted to be controversial, they made me so. I was happy doing comedy and celebrating my 100 million numbers.”

He also shared how he didn’t have any fears or inhibitions with respect to the show, “There may be things that I may not like, but fear is a big word. It’s a reality show but at the end of the day, it is only work for me. I don’t think there’s any scope for any apprehensions,” he said.
