Singer Jaan Kumar Sanu recently faced backlash from Sidharth Shukla’s fans when he paid a tribute to the late actor. On Nov 14, he released a song titled ‘Mera Tu’ on his YouTube channel. Sharing it with the audience, he said, “To one of the purest stories we witnessed in our times. Whether it was friendship, love, or just an acquaintance, we all fell in love with the pair of Siddharth Shukla & Shehnaaz Gill. Here is a tribute to our very own #SidNaaz. Forever in our hearts.”
Netizens slammed him for monetizing Sidharth Shukla’s death. However, Jaan Kumar Sanu blasted at them as he wrote in a tweet, “People giving me gyaan about “Using someone’s name for fame”, tum log pure pure page logo ke naam pe chalaake views aur likes lete ho, toh woh “fandom” ? What weird hypocrisy is this man ? I’m gonna continue doing what I think is right. To hell with your opinion.”
He also said, “To all the people supporting me, THANK YOU. To all the people hating on me, please wait, there’s so much more to come.”
Jaan’s fans have come out in his support. A user replied to his tweet, “jaan negativity pr dhyan mat do kuki kuch logo ka kam hi vo. so be positive .#SidharthShukla said,”Naam kro aisa ki log tumhai harane ki koshish ni sajish kre.”
Even Jaan is not affected by the trolling and criticism anymore. He has now expressed his desire on making an Unplugged version of “Mera Tu” featuring Sidnaaz moments !!
