Comedian Munawar Faruqui, who once took a jibe at Kangana Ranaut over her comments on nepotism and other issues, is now locked in her jail. Munawar is one of the participants in the controversial reality show ‘Lock Upp’ hosted by Kangana.
At the premiere of the show, Munawar was seen locking horns with Kangana.
In the promo shared by MX Player, Kangana can be seen asking Munawar, “Munawar, why are you here? I hope you’re not here to mess with me. Mazaak kar rai hu yaar. Hum bhi toh joke maar sakte haina.”
To this, Munawar replied, Munawar laughs and says, “Bas thoda funny nahi tha (Only thing, this was not funny).”
He also said, “Mujhe comedy se kuch change nahi karna hai. Kalakaar kranti nahi la paaya aaj tak (I don’t have to change anything with comedy. An artiste can’t bring any revolution till today).”
Disagreeing with Munawar’s statement, Kangana said, “Agar yahan pe saza-e-maut hoti toh inko de di jaat (What did you say? An artist can’t bring any revolution… If there is a death sentence, he would have been given it.”
This irked Munawar and he hit back at her by saying, “Mereko dhamkiyan mat dijiye (Don’t threaten me).”
