Bigg Boss OTT fame Abhishek Malhan recently grabbed the headlines after it was rumored that the social media influencer will be replacing Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut as a host from reality show, Lock Upp 2. For the unversed, recently several rumors surfaced about Bigg Boss OTT contestant and runner up Abhishek Malhan being offered the reality show, Lock Upp 2. While some rumors stated that Abhishek Malhan will be replacing actor and show host, Karan Kundrra as the “Jailer” many reports claimed that Abhishek will straight up replace Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut as the show host in the second season.
The rumors started after Abhishek announced that he was offered a reality show, as a host. In a vlog, Abhishek asked his mother whether he could become a good host since he has been offered a show. To this his mother stated that he has the confidence and can host very well.
Later in an interview, Abhishek Malhan addressed the rumors in his conversation with E Times, he said, that he hasn’t received an offer to host Lock Upp. However, he has been offered a different show, which is set to premiere its first season in India.
Talking about the show, Abhishek said, that the show would have a completely unique concept, and although he can’t disclose many details, but if the commercials align and if it feels like the right move, he might say yes to the show since he is inclined towards it.
On the work front, apart from show hosting, Abhishek Malhan will also be seen alongside his Bigg Boss OTT co-contestant, Jiya Shankar in a music video titled “Judaiyaan” which is slated to premier on 8 September.
