The web series “Kohrra,” which premiered on Netflix on July 15, has unfortunately been leaked on torrent and various Telegram channels. Starring Barun Sobti and Suvinder Vicky in the lead roles, the show is set in Punjab and revolves around two police officers investigating the murder of an NRI who was on the verge of getting married. The series delves into a world of mysteries, lies, and secrets.
Despite being highly anticipated, “Kohrra” has become the latest victim of piracy, as it was leaked online. Directed by Randeep Jha and produced by Clean Slate Filmz, the series was made available for free download and streaming on illegal websites within hours of its release.
While many series and movies have fallen prey to piracy, such practices are detrimental to the content creation industry. Major films like “The Kerala Story,” “Pathaan,” “Adipurush,” and “Satyaprem Ki Katha” have also suffered leaks on piracy websites.
Although the Indian government has implemented stringent laws against piracy, the problem persists, causing significant losses for filmmakers. We strongly urge our readers to watch films in theaters or patiently wait for their OTT or TV premieres.
