Amid the nationwide lockdown imposed because of the coronavirus pandemic, the Bollywood industry came to a screeching halt. The shooting of many films was stalled but now as the unlock process has begun, production houses have resumed film and TV shootings adhering to the guidelines issued by the government.
However, now that has been delayed by a fortnight. The General Secretary of FWICE, Ashok Dubey confirmed that the film’s schedule has been pushed ahead. The cast and crew will resume work by August 15. The reason behind the delay is considered the spike in the COVID-19 cases in Mumbai. The shoot has been temporarily called-off in order to keep everyone safe.
The makers of Shamshera had earlier asked permission from the Federation of Western India Cine Employees to let the daily wage workers resume their work.
Speaking of Shamshera, it is a period drama film that also features Vaani Kapoor alongside Ranbir and Sanjay Dutt.
On the work front, Ranbir Kapoor was last seen in Sanjay Dutt biopic titled Sanju. The film was helmed by Rajkumar Hirani and was hailed by the masses. Up next, Ranbir will be sharing screen space with Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan in Brahmastra.
On the other hand, Sanjay Dutt will be next seen in Sadak 2. The Mahesh Bhatt directorial has skipped its theatrical release and has taken an OTT route amid the lockdown orders. The film will be released on Disney+ Hotstar.
And Vaani Kapoor was last seen in War alongside Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff. The film was the highest grosser at the Box Office in 2019. She will next be the leading lady in Akshay Kumar starrer Bell Bottom.
