Rachel Brosnahan Accepts Role Of Lois Lane In “Superman: Legacy” Here’s Why

“The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” actress Rachel Brosnahan will portray Lois Lane in "Superman: Legacy" as she found this character very smart and ambitious.

DC Studios have made our childhood indeed memorable with amazing superhero movies. Last year, DC announced the comeback of superheroes through the movie “Superman: Legacy”. This movie will be released next year, 2025. But the creators united all new faces while casting for the film. Old actors who are the kind of face of that particular character won’t be there in the movies. In this scenario, “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” actress Rachel Brosnahan revealed the reason behind saying yes to DC’s upcoming movie.

Rachel Brosnahan will play the character of Lois Lane in Superman: Legacy. Along with this character, there is one more change in the cast. Henry Cavill will no longer play Superman. Instead of Henry, actor David Corenswet will portray Clark Kent aka Superhero. Fans are quite disappointed with the new cast, but at the same time, they are excited about the new movie.

Talking about why Rachel accepted the role of Lois, she said “I have grown up on Dawn of Superman movies with Christopher Reeve and Margot Kidder, and I have always loved Lois Lane. She is smart, ambitious and can be funny. She knows she is the smartest person in the room, more often than not. I’ve always loved this character. So when the opportunity came around… Such a fan of James Gunn. We are still finding these characters. We haven’t started shooting yet. I’m excited to share the movie with everyone. You will meet the final version of them.”

Other member of the new cast are Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Terence Rosemore as Otis, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, Edit Gathegi as Michael Holt/Mister Terrific, Maria Gabriela De Faria as Angela Spica/The Engineer, Milly Alcock as Zor-El/Supergirl.
