The renowned actor Lee Sun-kyun, who played an important role in the Oscar-winning movie ‘Parasite’ was found dead on December 27 in the morning in Seoul, according to Reuters. The actor was discovered deceased in a car parked in a park. Lee had made headlines for the past few months as he was being investigated over illegal drug use. He had been in the news after appearing for an investigation into illegal drug use, claiming that he had mistakenly consumed drugs at a nightclub.
Regarding his death, on December 27, he was found dead inside a car, as reported by the Yonhap news agency. His wife contacted the police after finding what appeared to be a suicide note. According to Yonhap, Lee’s wife found the note after he had left home.
Lee Sun-Kyun, born in 1975, is an actor in the South Korean industry. He portrayed the role of a wealthy father in ‘Parasite’, which became one of the biggest films, winning Oscar awards. He also had lead roles in many South Korean movies, including ‘Helpless’, ‘All About My Wife’, and several other notable projects.
Lee was also part of Apple TV+’s first Korean original series titled ‘Dr Brain’. It is a six-episode sci-fi thriller which released in 2021.
